一、保安崗位的設置目的如下：
1、保安公司的根本屬性---服務.它的業務活動是通過合同的形式,以門衛守護,巡邏和押運等手段，為企事業單位為客戶提供安全防范服務；

4、特點：是銜接各部門、各行業、各領域、各層次與公安機關和安全防范活動的重要橋梁，服務范圍廣、項目全、層次性強、專業性和商業性，競爭性及易受侵害性的特點；
5、保安員的職責和任務，保安的業務范圍：
保安勞動服務：
運作方式四種類型：①門衛；②守護；③巡邏；④押運。
保安技術服務內容：
①提供各種安全技術防范設備和器材銷售服務；
②提供安全技術防范咨詢服務；
③提供安全技術防范設備的設計，安裝和維修服務。
其他的保安服務項目：①禮儀；②物管；③安全緊急服務。
通過安全服務保安員應具備的素質：
①政治素質：學習掌握馬克思主義，毛澤東思想，鄧小平理論基礎知識，堅持四項基本原則，樹立正確的世界觀，在思想上，行為上與黨中央保持態度一致；
②業務素質：包括較為全面的法律知識，扎實的保安專業知識和技能，敏銳的觀察、思維能力和應變能力；
③文化素質：初中以上文化程度，能夠完成值班記錄，現場記錄押運情況記錄和報告請示、調查報告；
④體能素質：堅持鍛煉，保持充沛的體力，提高抗擊打能力，制止不法行為的侵害。
二、保安崗位培訓的要求：
通過培訓，使保安員了解保安服務工作的性質、特點、明確保安員的職責任務;了解掌握安全保衛工作的基本常識和方法;學習和了解基本的法律常識和各項管理法規,提高保安員的政治業務素質，充分發揮這支隊伍在群防群治工作中的積極作用。
